The Kutani Bitoen has been painting this dish as an old Kutani copy for about 60 years.

It was the first in a series of traditional crafts to be stamped, about 50 years ago.
Peonies were the national flower of the Ming Dynasty in China, and were introduced to Japan along with the history of ceramics, and many peony flowers were painted in Kutani. This is a very rare pattern that looks like a flower cut from the center. In the past, the "haha bird" pattern was more popular, but today, the modern peony pattern is more popular.
