Since I have a lot of hand-drawn Kutani-yaki tableware, I wanted to create a ceramic frame with something different and beautiful. In the Ming Dynasty in China, Jingdezhen was the heyday of pottery and porcelain and produced many wonderful works. I drew the image of a splendid vase from this era in the dyeing and red painting styles. As for the sancai (three colors), it is the famous sancai of the Tang dynasty in China, where various items were excavated from tombs and painted in three colors: green, white and brown. The Tang dynasty was a time when there was a lot of exchange with Islam, and the shape of the vase is also in the Islamic style.
